Selling

A listing puts an item on the auction house for a fixed price. The item leaves your inventory right away and comes back if you cancel or it expires.

Sell the item in your hand

  1. Hold the item and run /ah sell <price>.
  2. A confirm screen shows the item and the price.
  3. Click Yes. The item is taken from your hand and listed.

Sell from Your Items

  1. Open /ah and click Your Items.
  2. Click a gray Empty slot. The Insert Item menu opens.
  3. Click the item in your inventory, then the green Confirm pane.
  4. Type the price and click Continue, then Yes.

With fast sell turned on (/fastsell, needs auctionhouse.fastsell), both ways skip the confirm screen.

Prices

Prices accept whole numbers, up to two decimals and short forms:

You typePrice
500500
2.5k2,500
1m1,000,000
3b3,000,000,000
1,0001,000 (commas and $ are ignored)

Prices must be at least min-price: 1 under auction: and at most max-price: 0 under auction: (0 means no limit). Values like NaN, -5 or 1e999 are always refused.

Listing slots

  • Every player has default-slots: 18 under auction: listing slots (18 by default, the first two rows of Your Items).
  • Give more with the permission auctionhouse.slots.<amount>, for example auctionhouse.slots.36. The highest one a player has counts.
  • Your Items shows up to max-slots: 90 under auction: slots (90 by default). Slots above the player’s limit are shown as red Locked panes.

Expiry and cancelling

  • A listing stays for listing-duration-hours: 24 under auction: hours (24 by default).
  • When it expires, it leaves the auction house and stays in Your Items marked Expired. The seller gets a chat message, or one the next time they join.
  • Click an expired listing in Your Items to take the item back.
  • Click an active listing in Your Items to cancel it and take the item back. You need room in your inventory.

Getting paid

  • When someone buys your item, the money goes to you right away and you get a message.
  • sales-tax-percent: 0 under auction: percent of every sale is kept as tax (0 by default).
  • Sellers who are offline are paid immediately when pay-offline-sellers is on. With cross-server mode they are paid when they next join, together with a short summary of what sold.

Items that can’t be sold

Items on the blacklist can’t be listed. That includes items whose data is too large, such as oversized books that kick players who look at them.
