Shard arenas

Shard arenas pay players shards for every set amount of time they stay inside an area, such as AFK areas, PvP zones and event areas. Players earn for every second inside, including while idle. There is no limit on the number of arenas.

Create an arena

  1. Run /storefront arena wand.
  2. Left click a block for corner 1, right click a block for corner 2 (like WorldEdit).
  3. Run /storefront arena create pvp 300 5: 5 shards every 300 seconds inside the arena named pvp.
  4. Stand inside: the action bar counts down to the next payout.

Settings

Key (shard-arenas)Meaning
enabledTurn all arenas on or off.
wand-materialMaterial of the wand (default BLAZE_ROD).
default-interval-seconds / default-amountUsed by arenas that don't set their own.
reset-on-leaveLeaving the arena resets the timer.
tiersPermission-based reward tiers. A player receives the highest amount of any tier they have the permission for.
yaml
shard-arenas:
  tiers:
    tier-1:
      permission: storefront.arena.tier.1
      amount: 10
    tier-2:
      permission: storefront.arena.tier.2
      amount: 20

Grant these permissions to the groups that should earn more, for example /lp group <group> permission set storefront.arena.tier.1. Arenas can also have their own tiers in arenas.yml; edit the file and run /storefront reload.

What players see

  • A title and subtitle with a sound when they enter or leave an arena (arena-enter-title, arena-exit-title in messages.yml).
  • A live "Next shard in" countdown above the hotbar.
  • A chat message and a sound on every payout (arena-reward).

Sounds are under sounds: inside shard-arenas: in config.yml. An empty message turns that text off.

AFK menu

  1. Stand where players should arrive inside the arena.
  2. Run /storefront arena setteleport <name>.
  3. Players open /afk (alias /afkareas) and click an area, or the random-area button.

The teleport waits 5 seconds and is cancelled if the player moves to another block; storefront.afk.instant skips the wait. The title, slots, items and countdown are under afk-menu in config.yml.

Command conflicts
If another plugin (for example EssentialsX) also registers /afk, use /afkareas or /storefront:afk, or point /afk to Storefront in commands.yml.
Overlapping arenas
A player is paid by one arena at a time: the first arena (in arenas.yml order) that contains them.

Placeholders: %storefront_arena%, %storefront_arena_time%, %storefront_booster_multiplier% and %storefront_booster_time%.
